About Paul Parmer:

Paul Parmer is a 33 year old owner, photographer and modeling consultant from Lubbock, TX. He has photographed for nearly 12 years and has worked with over 600 models in that time.

Paul has created a style and niche unique to himself and West Texas making him well known for his eye popping creative imagery.

Lubbock born and raised , Paul is a graduate of Texas Tech University and has his BA in Psychology and BS in Biology. He is currently a law student on hiatus while building his business.

Paul has literally photographed things his entire life and was an art major for one year. It was not until after he changed majors did he really get into being a figure photographer. Paul saw early on that he wanted to bring something new and exciting to West Texas and Curvacion became his creation and passion. Ever since then Curvacion has grown to well known status and his vision is stronger than ever with not only a following, but many of his models enjoying success in the modeling world.

Paul decided not to pursue his photography as a career as he did not want to lose touch with what made him enjoy what he was shooting, the models and the creative/artistic vision. His friends and constituents have always felt that way about anything he found art worthy. He works with people on his spare time, trying to create something different and creative for them……..something that they can look at through out their lives with awe and admiration. Paul works hard to be the kind of photographer that people should expect. He is a photographer, friend, and consult to his models and thrives on being the anti-creep in a business that has a bad reputation of creepy photographers.

About my Photography:

I am a figure photographer. What that means is what I shoot has everything to do with the curves and form of the human figure.

My work is unique, creative, artistic, not your everyday type portrait pictures. I take a lot of time and thought in creating my unique shoots. I use props and backgrounds, arm and leg position, eye position, body position, natural background, emotion, etc....whatever it takes to convey the image..... it really depends from shoot to shoot. It is figure photography so it does involve photographing the body. I take nothing sexual or pornographic in any way, but there is nudity typically involved. Sometimes when people hear the word nudity, they seem to automatically assume the worse. I do not use nudity in what I do for the sake of it, I have used it time and time again because it has yielded the best results. My past models will tell you that the thought of it is much more intimidating than actually doing it.

When you pose for me you are not posing for a typical photo studio shoot, but more so you become part of my creative work. So instead of you going to someone to take pictures of you, you are coming to me to be part of what Curvacionphoto is about.

The breakdown for EACH typical shoot is 50% covered and clothed, 50% semi nude and nude but once you see my examples you will see that they are nothing obscene or in bad taste. Sometimes people question me about my intentions when I photograph people. I have seen it all and treat it completely professionally. People sometimes do not understand that I am only after what I can capture with each person.

I photograph color as well as black and white images. I do shoot typical shoots also.

A model release form can be signed guaranteeing your privacy. On average I shoot around 150-500 images(depends on ideas). Sometimes I will take more and sometimes I will take less depending on ideas. Shoots can be done indoors or outdoors depending on what is available and ideas from each model are encouraged. Shoots on average take 3 hours. The model is free to have whoever they like with them during a shoot.

If you have any questions do feel free to write me. Once a shoot is done, the time it takes to get pictures back to someone varies on the amounts edited and printed for paid clients. TFP or pro bono shoots will always take a back seat to paid shoots. I only edit 5-10 shots from a prop bono shoot.

Once someone is interested we usually meet over coffee to discuss this more, that way you get an idea of what I am like and I of you. I do shoot out of town as well depending on where I am and for a fee. If I am on vacation around the state I always take on shoots depending on where I am(Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, etc). When it comes to those outside of Lubbock, conversations are held over the phone or video conferencing ahead of time. I do and prefer to do most of my shoots in Lubbock due to costs, not having to lug lighting, and having access to places.

Requirements:

1. Must be 18 or older.

2. Open minded

3. Confident

4. Must work in my style of images. Some people work and some people don't regardless of size or height.

5. Must provide a photo copy of your Driver's License Or ID

Magazine & Agency Submission:

Submitting pictures to magazines, photographers, agencies, corporations and so forth are up to the model. If the model feels she wants to pursue modeling further I will help all I can but it is not a requirement to have your pictures submitted. For those interested in submitting to Playboy, FHM, Maxim, Stuff, Mystique, Ultra or Perfect 10, and other magazines let me know and I will help you take shots for them and submit them for you as I have consistently done so.

Safety And Privacy:

The whole purpose of these shoots is for it to be an enlightening and fun experience for the model without worries. I have made my shoots very model friendly.

1. You can bring whoever you like there with you to a shoot.

2. Locations of shoots are told in advance and a client can check out the place ahead of time.

3. Nobody will ever see your pictures without your direct consent. A release is signed between each model and myself to what the model's wishes are.

4. I am the only one shooting during a shoot and locations are private.

5. Feel free to ask any questions. It is the best way to understand me and what I offer.
